Dear Social Science Division members,
I wanted to update you on the Division's schedule of
events
for the 2010 SLA conference in New Orleans June 13-16;
it's
coming up fast !
If you are interested in seeing the list of great programs DSOC has available please download the DSOC 2010 Program Listing.
In addition to planning informative, educational and fun
programs, each division holds a board meeting or two, and
a
business meeting (usually as a breakfast or lunch). All
members are invited to both !
Our board meeting is in the Sheraton Evergreen room on
Sunday June 13 from 1:30 - 3pm. All members are welcome...
Come and meet your board - we'd love to meet you and hear
your thoughts....
Our business meeting/breakfast is Monday morning at 8am,
Convention Center 221.
The cost is $10 (ticket #425) for
members, BUT all new members to DSOC since June 2009 are
invited at no charge.

to reserve your place ! The event is graciously sponsored
by
my employer BNA (thank you, BNA) and includes a full hot
breakfast, so don't miss it.
In addition, we are co-sponsoring the International
Reception Monday evening at 6pm at Generations Hall,
sponsored by Dow Jones & Company, and a
multi-division
poster session Monday evening at 7pm at the Historic News
Orleans Collections, sponsored by EOS International and
John
Wiley & Sons.

Finally, we hope you will come and show your support for

good people and city of New Orleans. Life's been kinda
rough for them lately, and they need our support and
affection. I can't
