The GovTwit Directory

The consulting firm Bearing Point has launched a directory of government-types using Twitter and has named it GovTwit. As described on their New Thinking blog,

We want the GovTwit directory to include all facets of government on Twitter: state and local, federal, contractors, reporters, academics and more. The list will be a living list, and we hope to keep it updated via our own research, as well as your submissions.

The Bearing Point blog describes Twitter and the GovTwit resource in the post GovTwit: New thinking in government in 140 characters or less.

To get regular updates on changed to the directory, follow GovTwit on Twitter.

Comments

Twit means a an insignificant or bothersome person so why would this firm have called the site GovTwit? It evokes memories of the Monty Python sketch, Upper Class Twit of the Year.
