The Center for American Progress (CAP) hosted an informative program on Web 2.0 and the Federal Government yesterday, featuring Tim O'Reilly of O'Reilly Media, Alec Ross of the State Department, and experts on the center's own staff. (If an archived webcast becomes available, we'll post the news to this blog.)
At the program, CAP released several papers on the topic. The papers are available now from the CAP website:
- It's Not the Campaign Any More: How the White House is Using Web 2.0 Technology So Far
- New Media Challenges: Legal and Policy Considerations for Federal Use of Web 2.0 Technology
- How to Buy Free Software: Procuring Web 2.0 Technology for the Federal Government
UPDATE: The CAP website now includes the program's recorded webcast and all associated resources on this page.
