The Inside the Box Connections blog announced today that the 2008 SLA Board of Directors voted in December to approve the formation of the new Academic Division of SLA.
While it may seem bizarre for IT to talk about another Division, I wish to bring attention to the fact that this new Division was born out of the efforts of our IT past-past-Chair Stacey Greenwell. Congrats Stacey!

Thank you, Catherine! I consider the IT division my home division and plan to stay active, but I am excited about the new division and the opportunities it brings for us academics.
