Early bird registration is ending April 3rd for the SLA Annual Conference in Washington, DC. Savings are sizeable: full registration for a member goes up $180 on April 4th.
This being our centennial year, this year's conference will be extra special. The IT Division is preparing (or co-sponsoring) two great CE classes (cataloging and social tools), great sessions on leading-edge topics (RDA, cloud computing, virtual worlds, mashups, radical reference, content management, etc.), great opportunities to network (blogging social, mystery night open house, sci-fi night open house, Embassy Ball DANCE PARTY) and a tour (PTO Office). And let's not forget the Business Meeting and Awards Ceremony.
We know times are especially tough and travel money is harder to come by. But DC this June is probably the place to be for librarians and information professionals. Don't miss out and register today.
Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright.
