The SLA Committee on Cataloging requests your assistance with a survey they are conducting. The survey, which can be found online at this link, is designed to guage the cataloging work currently done by SLA members in their institutions. The survey, which takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, collects information about SLA affiliations, cataloging responsibilities, experience, # of cataloging staff, types of cataloging rules & classification systems used, and subjects & materials cataloged.
The survey was created by an ad hoc committee of the Committee on Cataloging which was formed during the 2009 SLA annual conference. The ad hoc committee members are Dorothy McGarry, Kimberley Edwards, Martha McPhail, and Carolyn Sosnowski. Follow this link to learn more about SLA's Committee on Cataloging.
