For her education, Janet went to the University of Maryland library school and to the University of Virginia Law School.
Outside of work, she volunteers with handicapped children at a therapeutic horseback riding center. Janet's hobbies include horseback riding, gardening, knitting, and reading. She was also an aerobics instructor until this year.
Janet has been a member of SLA for a few years. In addition to her SLA membership, she is also a member of AALL (American Association of Law Libraries) and a member of LLAM (Law Library Association of Maryland). She served as president of LLAM last year and she is still on the board as Past President.
