Library Journal continues to follow the debate about dropping "Library Studies" from the name of Rutgers University's School of Communication, Information and Library Studies.
LJ reports that Rutgers' board of governors could approve the change at its meeting April 2, and offers a point-counterpoint between SCILS Dean Jorge Reina Schement and Mary Chelton, professor, Graduate School of Library and Information Studies, Queens College, City University of New York. Dr. Chelton also holds two degrees from SCILS and its predecessor school.
