Job Description:
RVCC is seeking a part-time Adjunct Librarian for DAY hours effective September 2, 2009. The position is approximately 10-15 hours per week. The Adjunct Librarian will provide reference services, teach information literacy classes, and perform other duties or special projects as assigned by the Reference/Instruction Librarian and/or Library Director.
Requirements:
An M.L.S. degree or equivalent from a graduate school of library science accredited by the American Library Association is required.
Familiarity with OCLC and Innovative's Millenium computer system is desirable. Candidates should be comfortable using current technology including Internet searching, e-mail reference services and instructional technology systems. Information literacy instruction and college library reference experience are preferred.
Applicants will be asked to conduct a brief teaching demonstration as part of the interview process.
Evening and weekend hours may be available.
