Description: As a member of the firm-wide research team, this position will have primary responsibility for conducting research oriented training programs and will also assist in responding to firm-wide reference and research requests.
Details:
* Conducts ongoing training and development classes for attorneys, paralegals and staff members. Training is conducted both formally and informally, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training (one on one), meetings, conferences, and workshops.
* Develops and organizes training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
* Conducts training sessions for new hires.
* Assists in developing new training programs or improving existing programs.
* Provides research and reference assistance to attorneys and staff on a firm-wide basis.
* In conjunction with the Director of Library Services, works with outside training vendors on developing programs that meet firm’s needs.
Requirements:
* MLS or related job knowledge.
* Thorough knowledge of legal research methodology.
* Excellent interpersonal/presentation skills.
* Proficiency in using multi-media visual aids.
* Strong organizational/prioritization skills.
* Ability to manage time, establish priorities with patience.
* Strong “service-oriented” attitude.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Ability to take initiative and work independently.
* Local Residents Preferred (No Relo).
* Additional Salary Information: Based on experience.
