Florham Park Free Public Library, Florham Park, NJ
The Director works closely with a seven- member board and is responsible for planning, organizing and administering the policies and regulations delegated by the Board. The Director will oversee the daily operations of the library, including direct supervision of staff.
The Board seeks an individual who enjoys working with people and is encouraging and helpful to staff members and patrons. The desired candidate is one who is energetic, innovative and service oriented. Knowledge of the current issues and trends facing today’s public libraries, especially in the technology area, is required. Experience maintaining and overseeing a collection while exercising sound fiscal oversight is necessary. The selected individual would be expected to advocate for the library while maintaining strong community relations.
Qualifications: An ALA accredited degree and a Professional Librarian’s Certificate. Continuing education in the areas of current library services and technology.
Salary: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience
