Description
As a Senior Events Manger in Professional/Trade business, you will participate
in discussions relating to strategy, budget, planning and implementation of individual
product line’s event schedules, both domestically and globally. You will also create,
develop and maintain key event venue contacts. You will assist the Events Manager in
identifying key titles with marketing and editorial management, creating event plans and
budgets that complement sales and outlet strategy; and making recommendations as they
apply to events. In addition, you will oversee and facilitate the creation and implementation
of a variety of different events, including: conventions, conferences, publicity, promotion and
in-store and library events. Additionally, you will develop appropriate support pieces with
advertising and promotions, marketing, publicity and sales.
Requirements
4 years of events, marketing or publicity experience.
Knowledge of events planning/coordination, bookstore marketplace and marketing/publicity
techniques as it relates to events planning.
Excellent oral, written & interpersonal skills.
Analytical ability to perform quantitative and qualitative assessment of event efforts,
market conditions, and sales analysis.
Project & budget management skills.
Travel required.
