Job Description: Responsible for planning and managing the integration of the AOL Taxonomy into various groups at AOL including Media and Advertising. We are looking for a creative and critical thinker who can define requirements and provide solutions. The position is a combination of product and program management that requires an extremely organized individual who can coordinate the efforts of various teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for the management, performance and completion of a large program involving the development and integration of an ontology (subject taxonomy, entities, metadata, relationships) to be used in classifying and tagging content.
2. Defines and elicits feedback and write up tasks and requirements.
3. Directs and coordinates with various internal program focus areas which may include technical, editorial,
business development personnel in the development and integration of program goals and activities.
4. Develops and maintains relationships across program groups and is responsible for the planning,
development and delivery of goals.
5. Ensures the timely completion and delivery of goals.
6. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of taxonomies, ontologies, semantic web, content industry, market and competition.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Experience: 4 to 6 years directly related experience
Specialized Knowledge: Project Mgmt and/or Product Mgmt on complex initiatives and online/web knowledge skills
