The Division of Libraries, Academic Technology, and Online Learning is seeking a Library Learning Commons Librarian , tenure track or multiple year track, rank open, 12 month appointment
Reporting to the Head Librarian of the Bronx Campus Library Learning Commons, this position will play a central role in activities related to the improvement of student information literacy and technology fluency and the assessment of learning outcomes; will collaborate in identifying and implementing emerging technologies and best practices; will provide training, instruction, and support in the effective use of online and multimedia information tools and technologies.
This position will also provide reference services, including teaching and training (some nights and weekends may be required), and will serve as a liaison to one or more of the Schools. While this position is primarily located at the Mercy Bronx Campus, travel to other campuses is an expectation.
MLS or equivalent experience required, additional masters degree in an area related to Mercy curriculum highly desirable. Desirable candidates will have a portfolio of materials related to information literacy and technology fluency.
