The Library Service Digital Library Support Representative is responsible for conducting the day-to-day Library Services duties required to deliver high-quality e-content document delivery services to the client. Primary duties of the Library Service Digital Library Support Representative include maintaining the link resolver, gathering and reporting on value and usage metrics and updating the library catalog.
Primary Responsibilities
• Maintain the link resolving database
• Run monthly reports to obtain linking failure/success
• Trouble shoot document delivery requests that did not link properly and fix as appropriate, contacting vendors when appropriate
• Add, update, and maintain licensed materials in client catalog
• Maintain the e-resource access list containing log-ins, publisher contact information, and usage report urls; set up administrative accounts, update contact information find appropriate landing pages for e-journals
• Provide customer service for e-access problems for both end users and client management
• Monitor and collect monthly usage statistics for client databases and resources.
• Perform other duties as required, such as bill and invoice payments.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
• Master Degree in Library Science or equivalent work experience.
• 0 to 1 year previous corporate library management experience.
• Proven experience pertaining to configuration and end-user support of library information systems and related processes such as e-holdings, management, e-content access, and document delivery
• One to two years previous library experience
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Proficiency using Internet and desktop software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A strong Microsoft Excel skill-set is required.
• Capable of working independently as well as with a Team.
