Description
Working as an Associate Marketing Manager in the Library and Institutional Marketing
department within ourScientific, Technical, Medical, & Scholarly business, you will be
working closely with the library marketing and sales teams, as well as product marketing
teams. You will be responsible for developing and implementing targeted marketing plans
for Wiley-Blackwell’s online journals and books, as well as other online products, such as
medical and chemistry databases and lab protocols, using all the elements of the marketing
mix. You will lead efforts for growing our market share in our core academic markets in
the Americas and Canada, as well as devise robust campaigns for Hospitals and other
under-penetrated segments like Community Colleges.
Other responsibilities include: producing brochures and marketing collateral, devising e-mail
campaigns, managing lists, tracking and reporting on results, planning trade shows and other
events; You will coordinate efforts with the global team, to ensure full integration of marketing
strategies and campaigns; you will represent Wiley-Blackwell at exhibits, customer events and
visits and represent the library customer perspective internally.
Requirements
3-4 years of hands-on marketing experience developing plans and implementing
campaigns in a publishing environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously with close attention to detail.
Working knowledge of marketing theory and concepts.
Experience with B2B marketing preferred.
Strong computer and internet skills, including word processing and spreadsheets,
basic HTML, social media and mobile marketing a plus.
