Prestigious, Philadelphia based law firm is seeking bright and motivated Knowledge Management / Library Assistant to join their center city Philadelphia team. The successful candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills and superior interpersonal skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the firm and outside clients, vendors, etc. Candidate will be a team player, highly motivated, self-directed, flexible, and results driven.
Responsibilities will include: technical processing; serials, acquisitions, filing, circulation and online ready reference; maintaining item records and routing information; processing new publications and distributing routed material; locating, delivering, shelving and maintaining materials in the print collection; additional duties and special projects as needed.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS and 1-2+ years' related KM / library experience, MLS/MLIS a plus but not required. Should have a strong working knowledge of various print and on-line resources such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, RIA Checkpoint, RealQuest, and other types of web-based services, including corporate and securities research tools. Must have excellent customer service skills, be able to multi-task and prioritize in accordance with changing deadlines and priorities. The ability to follow through and follow up is critical.
