Job duties
The Corporate Licensing Associate works closely with the Director and the corporate sales team to provide administrative support to Springer's eJournal, eBook, and other information product sales to corporate libraries and research organizations. The position includes pre-sales support and administrative responsibilities.
Specific responsibilities:
Providing sales/admin support for the corporate sales team
Prepare eProduct renewal proposals and manage annual license renewal process for multiple sales managers
Manage contracts and procurement workflows between customers and Springer's accounting, legal, and helpdesk departments
Developing strategic relationships with internal departments
Devising and implementing strategy to help Licensing/Account Managers be more effective and efficient in their sales process
Maintain high level customer contact through phone and email
Track activities and call reports in our CRM system, Salesforce
Other related duties as needed
Job requirements
Bachelor's degree with minimum of 1-2 years prior work experience preferably work in the corporate, government or academic sectors
An understanding of the STM market and knowledge of journal and multi-site licensing is a plus
Must be well organized, highly motivated, detail oriented, flexible and able to work independently and as part of a team
Strong computer skills -- MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint a must
Ability to work with numerous individuals on a daily basis to resolve issues, work on sales campaigns, and identify creative solutions
Excellent project management, time management, and prioritization skills
Demonstrate initiative and follow-up skills
Understanding on how to maintain and build lasting business relationships with customers and colleagues
Confident and polished presenter with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with corporate libraries or research organizations in the tech, engineering, petrochemical, pharma, or hospital markets preferred
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required
Bilingual (Spanish & English) is strongly preferred
