Job duties
The Corporate Licensing Manager works closely with the Director to sell Springer's eJournal, eBook, and other information products to corporate libraries and research organizations. The position requires both proactive development of new revenue opportunities and key account management in defined corporate vertical markets.
Strong knowledge of online journal and book publishing in the Scientific, Technical & Medical (STM) field preferred
Experience with solution-based, consultative selling to corporate libraries or research organizations, preferably in the tech, engineering, petrochemical, pharma, or hospital markets
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to provide market analyses, product ROI analyses, and analyses on advanced usage metrics
Ability to build financial models for forecasts, budget etc
Experience presenting effectively to peers, management and clients
Experience in negotiating multi-site/consortia contracts and creating customized proposals
Project management skills
Proven new sales development skills
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Job requirements
Pursue new business growth in the corporate R&D vertical markets
Create and implement a sales plan to meet and exceed annual sales targets for multiple electronic information products
Working on contract proposals for existing customers and new clients
Researching and recommending new markets/customers
Proactively developing and recommending innovative ideas to build new business opportunities
Produce sales/business reports and internal summary reports
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
Other related duties as needed
