Job duties
Works closely with the Director, Library Sales and Licensing Managers to proactively develop and achieve revenue growth goals. Specific responsibilities include:
Responsible for the growth of eProduct sales to the North American Government market sector
Proactively participate in numerous levels of customer interaction on a daily basis, including in-person meetings, webinars, email and phone
Prepare, execute and revise sales strategy
Develop and clearly communicate contract proposals to new and existing clients
Negotiate and close renewal and new business
Prospect for business opportunities in existing and new government related markets
Proactively develop and recommend innovative ideas to build new business opportunities
Stay abreast of new and existing product details with a view to growing sales channels
Ability to keep detailed pipeline and forecast reports, and other reporting required by management
Play a key role in eProduct development
Participate in marketing activities such as industry conferences
Travel as required
Other ad hoc duties as needed
Job requirements
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years experience in developing new business
Strong level of knowledge of the eJournal and eBook publishing industry
Strong understanding of eProduct sales to the government sector a plus
STM experience preferred
Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
Must be well organized, highly motivated,detail-oriented, flexible and able to work independently
Proven track record of identifying and closing new sales opportunities
Strong ability to develop and communicate customer specific value proposition, whether it be in-person, over the phone, via email or in front of large groups
Ability to build and maintain long-lasting relationships with key accounts
Experience with working on complex negotiations and contract language
Proven Market analysis skills
Project Management skills
Ability to build financial model for forecasts, budget, etc.
