The Newark (NJ) Public Library is seeking a part-time CONTRACT GRANTS WRITER to support all aspects of its foundation, corporate, individual, and government agency grants. The individual selected will be responsible for proposal writing for new and recurring grants, prospect research for potential new grantors, maintenance of the donor database, and related activities. Incorporated in 1888, The Library consists of a main library and eight branches with 135 employees and an annual operating budget of $12 million.
Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree, four years experience as a grant writer in the non-profit sector, familiarity with Raiser’s Edge fundraising software, knowledge of principal New Jersey funders, good interpersonal skills, and attention to detail. It is Imperative that proposals and reports are produced in a timely manner and that deadlines are met.
Salary: $28.00/hour.
