Description
The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for supervising the Access Services Circulation Desk, train and supervise the student workers, and acts as a backup for the Access Services Evening Supervisor. This position is considered a second (2nd) shift with the hours of 12pm - 8pm Monday through Friday. Appointee will also assist in processing of Reserves, which entails processing and compiling statistics for electronic reserve material, adding new books for the course lists, creating new reserve lists in the Voyager Circulation module, and troubleshoot problems while completing the processes.
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required, Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred. Knowledge in the area of data entry in Windows-based computer system, to include experience with Microsoft Word and Excel Spreadsheets. Must have the ability to interact with various levels of faculty, staff, and students. Must also have qualities of effective verbal and communication skills as well as supervisory skills/experience.
NOTE: Appointees will also need to successfully pass an examination administered by the New Jersey Civil Service Commission.
