Library Manager – Information Center
 
Kelly Services is pleased to announce a position with our client, a top NYC law firm who is looking to hire a Library Manager for their Information Center (Library)
 
Qualifications Required & Responsibilities
 
·                     5+ years global Library or Information Center management experience

·                     Master of Library Science or the equivalent
 
·                     KM experience a big plus
 
·                     Lead and manage library staff of 5 direct reports

·                     Handles all administrative matters including communications, budgeting and performance reviews
 
·                     Manage all aspects of print and digital research tools.  Evaluate new and existing resources, including use of new technologies (iPads, etc.).  Handle all aspects of vendor relations (purchases, negotiations, training, etc.).

·                     Works with Marketing/Business Development to enhance support of the firm’s business development effort.  Fosters a team approach to collaborating on business development and competitive intelligence materials.
 Supports Knowledge Management efforts as directed
 
·                     Serve as Firm Historian – tracking significant historical events, client relationships and individuals; maintaining original documentation, photographs and other forms of electronic media
 
·                     Provide information and advice to management staff with responsibilities with document retention, knowledge management, disaster recovery, and competitive intelligence.
 
·                     Expertise with strategic use of advanced information research databases and services (i.e. Lexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg, D&B, Debtwire, Factiva, Hoovers, Mergermarket,  Mergermetrics, OneSource, Sharkrepellant, S&P, Thomson OneBanker, Westlaw Business, etc.)-
 
·                     Expertise with print, online, web-based tools and 'expert systems' [artificial intelligence] by Practice Area Specialty, Region and Country
