Field Sales Representative - Wolters Kluwer Legal Sales Team

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Sell products and publications to new and existing customers and prospects.
• Develop understanding of customer needs and provide solutions.
• Focus on targeted products as part of an overall sales plan.
• Prospect and develop new business in existing and new accounts.
• Adapt and stay current in the changing marketplace to effectively communicate with customers and prospects.
• Follow-up and coordinate on-going progress of new customers.
• Maintain and update information in sales tracking software program.
• Support division, business unit, and company goals and objectives.
• Submit reports as requested by the Sales Manager and/or the company and keep Sales Manager informed of activities and sales progress.
***This position works remotely and is responsible for a territory that includes most of New Jersey and Maryland and all of Delaware - must be based in one of those states, New Jersey location preferred***
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in business or related field; OR if no degree, 5 years of B2B sales experience for non-manufacturing/non-agricultural products/services
Required Experience:
• 2+ years of proven B2B sales experience consistently exceeding sales quotas
• 2+ years of experience making in-person presentations to prospective clients to explain the business' products and services and their alignment with the client's needs
• Must have previous experience managing a large client base
• Must have previous experience using online presentation tools
• Working knowledge of PCs, software, and Internet navigation is required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
• Self-motivated and possessing excellent organization, planning and presentation skills
Preferred Experience:
• Previous experience selling to legal professionals (including attorneys, law professors and law students) a plus
• Previous experience selling a complex product/service requiring in-depth knowledge of the client's business and the product's functionality
• Working tradeshow and conference events
• Developing accurate sales forecasts
Tools:
• MS Office Suite; intermediate level skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Sales management software experience, SalesLogix preferred
Travel Requirements:
• Extensive travel required within the assigned territory including some overnight travel; will typically be in the field 3 to 4 days per week
