Librarian Relations Manager – New York
Thomson Reuters has a long history of supporting law librarians through consultation and through educational programs. In this role, you will manage a Librarian Relations program in a designated territory for law firm librarians. Main duties will include building excellent relationships, training on Thomson Reuters products individually and through presentations and webinars to large groups of librarians. You will also be responsible for driving librarian usage and preference for Thomson Reuters products.
Primary responsibilities include: Presenting and Educating • Provide expert level presentations and educational seminars on both Thomson Reuters products and current legal industry trends. • Actively manage product preference and adoption of Thomson Reuters products to law librarians and other legal professionals within assigned territory. • Present solutions to customers in a manner that that increases confidence in both Thomson Reuters and its products. • Maintain a superior level of knowledge and understanding/expertise on Westlaw, other business of law products and practice areas relevant to large law firm customers. Customer Relations • Foster and maintain strong customer relationships within assigned territory. • Support law librarians through direct interaction with Thomson Reuters customer service and product developers to streamline and resolve customer questions quickly. • Build relationships with a broad range of information professionals and maintain a deep understanding of the business and culture of law firms. Requires focus on the big picture and the ability to take a business perspective when making decisions and initiating activities. Association Activities • Actively participate in local and regional librarian association meetings and annual national AALL conference. • Speak at association events on behalf of Thomson Reuters and the Librarian Relations program when appropriate. Sales and Account Management Relations • Closely partner with appropriate field account team on a formal and informal basis to achieve customer training and preference goals as well as overall customer satisfaction. • Partner with Thomson Reuters Sales and Account Management leadership by supporting district account plans and goals.
