Job Description:
Title: Vice President of Sales (Medical Institution Licensing e-medical textbooks)
Location: Little Falls, NJ
Duration: Contract to Hire
(Position will require 50% domestic travel. Must be on-site in Little Falls, NJ when not traveling).
Responsibilities:
- Launch and develop a sales team over the next 18 months
- Direct and manage sales and business development operations, including market competitiveness, pricing and customer acquisition
- Drive the development of sales strategies and programs
- Maintain key customer relationships and expand customer base
- Assist in development of pricing policies, including terms and conditions, for customers and partners
- Sell new e-medical textbook product to C-Level executives at hospitals/medical centers/medical libraries
Requirements:
- Experience working for a publisher or medical licensing database supplier for medical libraries and medical centers � examples are Elsevier, Wulters Klower and Epocrates
- Experience selling to C-Level executives
- 7-10 years sales experience
- Ability to plan/manage at both the strategic and operational levels
- Ability to establish contacts and relationships with potential customers and partners
- Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers
- Proven sales track record in a new product/new market environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results driven, team oriented environment
