The Dean of Library Services oversees all aspects of the College library including branch locations. The Dean manages and supervises personnel, facilities, and the allocation of resources. In providing library services in coordination with the College community, the Dean plans, organizes, communicates, coordinates, supervises and schedules library activities and functions. Principle duties also include strategic leadership in all Library matters including building utilization and expansion as well as leadership in reference/access services, collection development, technical services, and electronic resources management. This position reports to the Academic Vice President.
Qualifications: Master’s degree from an American Library Association-accredited school; Doctorate preferred. Must have five years administrative experience in an academic library; demonstrated effective leadership skills including supervision of faculty and staff; excellent communication, interpersonal and technical skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as manage organizational change and growth and transformation in library services; capacity for developing and sustaining effective relationships with other administrators, personnel, faculty, students, and public.
