The Librarian plans, designs, advises and assists in developing and maintaining the Library’s information technology applications. These applications include existing webcentric and digital media, as well as the development of new solutions in these areas. The Librarian will help devise strategies and platforms for marketing library resources and services. In coordination with the library’s marketing and technology teams, the Librarian will help manage all web content and digital media critical to the mission of the library. In this capacity, the Librarian will function as a subject specialist and work in cooperation with fellow librarians, specialized staff, and the Head of Technical Services to develop and deliver databases and electronic tools and train library staff in their use. The Librarian will also provide research and reference services using print, online sources, and specialized databases. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must, as well as the ability to work in a team environment. The position reports to the Head of Research and Training Services.

Requirements
Master's degree in Library Science (MLS) from an ALA accredited school. JD a plus but not required. Professional work experience of minimum three years or more in a law library is preferred. Experience in and/or ability to develop and promote electronic resource services to customers. Experience teaching/instructing different user groups. Experience developing information for web pages. Knowledge of both print and electronic legal information sources. Strong technology skills, and excellent written, oral and email communications skills. Ability to work alone and as a part of a team. Ability to take projects from concept to completion. High attention to accuracy and detail. Occasional travel is required.
