Stephen Abram, SLA's immediate past president, has reported that at the Leadership Summit in January, the SLA Board of Directors voted to create the Virtual Worlds Advisory Council. After the vote, it was referred to the Governance Committee to work on a formal charge and make it official. A final vote will likely occur during one on the monthly Board conference calls. This is wonderful news!
On other fronts, Click U will be working this year to establish a training facility in Second Life and offer workshops there. John Lowery will be holding a preliminary conversation with current Second Life Workgroup members on the idea later this month.
Thanks for the update. Glad to hear things are still moving foreward,
