Ready for Second Life?!
The CAL Continuing Education Committee is proud to present Stepping into Virtual Librarianship on July 26, 2010.
This free, exciting and innovative webinar will assist participants in creating their Second Life persona (or avatar) and enable them to navigate the Second Life world. We will explore the possibilities Second Life offers for networking and non-traditional learning opportunities.
Ariell Enoch (Eileen Dumas) and Plautia Corvale (Victoria Petersen) will be your guides through Second Life. In this webinar you will learn how to apply the power and possibilities of Second Life to better extend your library's reach and impact. Participants will also receive a tour of the Sustainable Living Library (the CAL virtual library), which has had a successful two years on Second Life. We'll present an overview of our programs and special events including future plans for the library.
Staying safe in cyberspace will also be addressed.
