Medical Librarian with Government experience
Cadence Group is looking for medical librarians in the Atlanta, GA area. Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Develops and maintains library facilities. Provides reference services including database searching. Supports medical staff by locating information using electronic resources. Is responsible for collection development, acquisitions and cataloging of all library materials and maintenance of library. Excellent knowledge of library systems.
Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in Library Science from ALA-accredited school
Experience: 2-4 years of experience in healthcare environment with experience in medical-related literature and database searching, interlibrary loan/document delivery methods and cataloging.
Skills and Abilities: Excellent written, oral, analytical, organizational and leadership skills a must. Proven ability to proactively identify issues and diplomatically resolve problems.
Technological Skills: Experience with various Library Information Systems. Proficiency with applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
