I'm sharing this slide from my business meeting presentation given at our Fall meeting held on Friday, September 23, 2011; it forms an interesting look at the makeup of our chapters. I doubt whether I left the slide up long enough for the attendees at our business meeting to digest the numbers and their relationships. I'm guessing that those of you who didn't attend may find it interesting as well.
I produced this table using the September monthly chapter statistics from SLA National headquarters. I created the chapter types: city, state, state-region, and region to allow us to better compare our chapter to other chapters like ours. I think the types State and City are self explanitory; State-region includes chapters that cover only part of a state or span several states, Region chapter span several countries. The Hawaii-Pacific Chapter may contain members from outside the U.S. (I couldn't tell from their website), but it is not included in the "Non-U.S. chapters" column.
