Vice President/Program Chair - RENEE WEDDLE is an Information Specialist at Cargill, an international producer and marketer of food, agricultural, financial and industrial products and services. Her responsibilities include contract management and vendor relations, managing online resources and competitor, customer and market intelligence. Since joining the company in 2003 she has done research focused on food ingredient topics, risk management, market sizing and business and competitive intelligence. Renee became involved with SLA as a student in 2003, serving as Co-President for the St. Kate’s SLA Student Group. She has since taken on a number of roles within the SLA MN Chapter, including Employment Chair, Professional Development Co-Chair, Mentoring Co-Chair, Chapter Intelligence Chair, and the vendor relations chair for SLA FAN. She is a member of the SLA CI Division and Food, Agriculture and Nutrition as well as a member of SCIP.
Secretary - CINDY ACTON is an information specialist with Cargill Incorporated, an international producer and marketer of food, agricultural, financial and industrial products and services. She joined Cargill 27 years ago and earned her MLIS from the College of St. Catherine. Cindy conducts research on topics focused on trade, food and agricultural products, market research and business and competitive intelligence. She is also responsible for the InfoCenter online catalog and website content. Cindy joined SLA in 1988 and has served as the Treasurer for both the Minnesota Chapter and the Food, Agriculture and Nutrition Division and the Membership chair for the Minnesota Chapter. She is a member of the SLA Food, Agriculture and Nutrition Division.
