April 17: Website Usability Evaluation
by Dr. Kim Thompson
Why are some websites better than others? How can your library's website be one of the good ones? Please join us for this fun and informative program and find out!
Dr. Kim Thompson is an Associate Professor at the University of Missouri's School of Information Science and Learning Technologies (SISLT). She'll present an overview of general usability principles and theories for our group and show us some examples of good and bad website design. We'll get some practical tips on how to evaluate our own websites that we can try out the very next day back on the job. Dr. Thompson will also tell us about the Information Experience Lab, a research and usability testing facility at SISLT.
