Job Description - Coordinator of Reference and Electronic Resources
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a member of the Library’s management team, the Coordinator of Reference and Electronic Resources is responsible for managing and reporting on all aspects of traditional and electronic reference services and collections, serving as the Library’s webmaster, maintaining systems and hardware, providing reference/research assistance for students and faculty , and participating in the Library’s instruction, collection development and liaison programs. Faculty appointment at the Assistant Librarian level. Siena College is an independent liberal arts college in the Catholic and Franciscan tradition close to Albany in proximity to major higher education and cultural institutions. QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Masters degree from an ALA-accredited school of library science
- Broad reference experience
- Working knowledge of information technologies
Preferred:
- Four years academic library experience
- Knowledge of emerging information technologies or web design
- Instructional or training experience
- 2nd master’s degree
