Job Description - Library Systems Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lucy Scribner Library at Skidmore College seeks a part time Library Systems Analyst. The Systems Analyst would work closely with the Systems Librarian to support every department in the library by collaborating on the maintenance of the complex library systems including the support of daily operations, documentation, troubleshooting, upgrades, training, new installations and applications, and running reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience. 2 years library experience with a focus on technology strongly preferred. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical problems quickly; experience with relational databases, SQL, and web technologies; familiarity with electronic journals/books/research databases; familiarity with PC desktop computing systems; excellent communication skills are essential; ability to learn new technologies quickly; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Experience with the Voyager ILS preferred.
