The Management Library is part of a consolidated cluster that includes the Catherwood ILR and Nestlé Hospitality Libraries.  The Outreach and Research Specialist will have marketing and outreach responsibilities across the three libraries and lead the innovative promotion of consolidated library programs and services.
 
The Outreach and Research Specialist is a member of the Catherwood, Management, and Nestlé Libraries’ research and instruction teams, and as such partners with other team members in the provision of research services, instruction, consulting and outreach efforts. The highly specialized nature of the Management Library’s collection, the research demands of our faculty and graduate students, and our need to support and deliver many complex databases, demands that all research team members be knowledgeable about business information and the manner in which this information is organized and delivered in the academic setting. The Outreach and Research Specialist serves as departmental Web manager.

Qualifications

• BA degree (or equiv.) in the social sciences, business/economics coursework.
• Research-related skills, teaching experience or library experience highly desirable.
• Good analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and act decisively under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a positive service orientation.
• Web design skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

Preferred:

• MBA or equivalent
• Experience developing/leading outreach, branding and marketing campaigns
