Information Design for the New Web

Ellyssa Kroski posted in her blog information on the topic she was going to speak on at Computers in Libraries (CIL). Information Design for the New Web is a long and well thought out blog post.  There is a lot of information here for anyone who is involved in designing a web site (no matter how simple or complex that site might be).  The posts includes many examples (screen shots) which Kroski uses to ensure that she's getting her point across.
