Today or in the coming days, you will receive an email inviting you to vote on a new Governing Document for the Division.
We are asking you to vote on changes in the Division's scope, mission and vision statements. Revising this portion of the Governing Document was our first step in preparing a new strategic plan for the Division. Those proposed changes have been presented to the membership this past June at the Business Meeting, on the Division's website and have been mentioned in bIT/e and this blog.
The changes are in the first section of the Governing Document only, as specified in the ballot. We didn't put the two texts in the ballot because of length issues but we have linked to them. For your convenience, please find the current and proposed version below (relevant parts only).
