I'm asking you to take about two hours of time in the next two months to become smart voters choosing the next leaders of SLA.
You'll find online biographies and candidate speeches for the candidates for President-Elect, Chapter Cabinet Chair-Elect, Division Cabinet Chair-Elect and Director. The candidate speeches are WMV files, each lasting about eight minutes. Eighty minutes, plus 30 minutes reading and digesting the biographies, plus a few minutes to spare ... that's two hours, and you can break it up however you like in the next two months.
Voting will take place electronically, likely in September. The candidates were scheduled to speak to SLA member voters at the annual conference in Seattle, but only a small audience was present. However, the speeches are available online for all to review.
Today I viewed the videos for the candidates for President-Elect, Janice C. Anderson and Anne Caputo, and I'll make sure to view the others soon. I'll also post to the blog, a positive comment about each candidate. Please post as comments to this blog any questions you have about the election or the election process. Or email Barbara Burton and me at newjersey.sla AT gmail.com and we'll get your questions answered.
Happy Fourth!
