The event featured a toast to the chapter and welcome from NJSLA President Sandra Baker, a congratulatory letter from Gov. Chris Christie, and a program by humor therapist Elaine Lundberg, "Laughter: The Duct Tape That Can Help Hold You Together."

REMINDER: Scholarship for NJ Library Science Students Open Until Nov. 19

Friendly reminder: NJSLA is accepting applications from students who are New Jersey residents and who are currently enrolled in an accredited Master's level program in library science, but only until Friday, Nov. 19. That is the deadline for all materials to be submitted, so please apply soon!

Note: Scholarship applicants may attend any accredited Master's level program in library science. The New Jersey requirement applies to the applicant's residency, not to the location of the school.

The scholarship includes $500 plus student membership in SLA for one year. For more information please see the original posting.
