LinkedIn Tips and Techniques Webinar

The New Jersey SLA chapter was linked to an interesting and informative webinar on Advanced LinkedIn Tips and Techniques for Business and Career Use on Tuesday, March 13. Presenter Scott Brown offered practical tips on the use of the business social networking site to uncover information and advance one’s career.

Brown, a speaker, instructor, SLA Fellow and owner of Social Information Group, covered the use of LinkedIn to track companies and industries, connect with recruiters and uncover job opportunities both within one’s current industry and for those changing careers.

 He also offered tips on building a profile, tagging, showcasing skills and utilizing groups to connect with others.

Eli is the Principal and Owner of Fluidik Interactive.  He designs user interfaces for Silicon Valley start-ups, and has graciously extended an East Coast visit to meet with us to discuss his work and answer questions, so this is a Monday evening meeting.
