A member of the Asset Management Services team within Global Marketing Operations, which manages the Telescope Digital Asset Management system (DAM). The DAM is a globally used system containing all of the elements and assets used in Merck's promotional materials. Digital Asset Librarians are the system's key operators. They manage access and maintain the metadata surrounding each asset. Their primary goal is to protect the intellectual property of Merck and its partners, in compliance with the law and internal company policy.
Qualifications
Education:
* Required: High School Diploma/GED
* Preferred: BS/BA
Preferred Experience:
* A background in library science or experience with digital asset management, as well as experience with copyright management, is preferred but not required.
* Minimum of 2 years experience with digital asset management systems preferred
* Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite software
* Experience with complex web-based applications and databases
* Knowledge of media usage rights and licensing
* Ability to operate independently while managing multiple time-sensitive projects
* Experience working with print and/or multichannel production files
* Ability to negotiate effectively with multiple stakeholders, including promotion, creative teams and advertising agencies
* Familiarity with promotional communications for the pharmaceutical industry
* Excellent verbal and written communication, accuracy, attention to detail. Ability to learn new skills quickly
