McNeil Consumer Healthcare, a member of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, is recruiting for a Records Manager, Consumer Records & Information Management (CRIM.) This position is located in Fort Washington, PA.
McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc markets a broad range of over-the-counter products, including TYLENOL® acetaminophen products, ZYRTEC® and BENADRYL® allergy medicines, IMODIUM® A-D anti-diarrheal, MOTRIN® IB, ROLAIDS® antacid products, and SUDAFED® nasal decongestants.
The Records Manager administers all aspects of the Consumer Records and Information Management Program for the Consumer Group of Companies in the United States. This individual will develop new strategies for business planning purposes and will ensure records retention compliance associated with regulatory, healthcare compliance, legal and government agencies as well as adherence to the Worldwide Records and Information Management Policy and Standards. This individual will responsible for developing new strategies, policies, processes and guidance documents in support of the organization's goals and objectives. The US Consumer Records Manager will be responsible for driving organizational solutions to meet records and information management requirements and will serve as the subject matter expert providing guidance and direction for the lifecycle management of the organizations records.
Specific responsibilities and areas of focus will include the following;
Compliance: Manage the development and administration of a comprehensive Records & Information Management Program within the J&J Consumer Group of Companies in the United States at the following sites: J&J Consumer - Skillman Campuses, Morris Plains, McNeil Consumer Healthcare - Fort Washington, Lancaster, Las Piedras, McNeil Nutritionals - Fort Washington, Neutrogena - Los Angeles, Wellness & Prevention (W&P, HMI, HPI) - Fort Washington, Florida, Michigan, Baby Center - California, and Distribution Centers.
Conduct company-wide Records Audits and proactively identify solutions and corrective actions ensuring compliance with J&J WWRIM Corporate, regulatory, legal and governmental compliance (FDA, IRS, EPA, HIPPA, Healthcare Compliance, etc). Support all functions in the business at it pertains to Records Retention and Document Scanning. Develop and implement CRIM Training and Education modules to increase CRIM Awareness throughout the organization.
Collaborate with stakeholders and J&J Records Management community by developing a communication and outreach strategy to achieve awareness and compliance with CRIM policies and standards.
Electronic Records Management: Guide the efforts towards the CRIM vision of having all information assets, regardless of media, identified, controlled and stored in a manner that guarantees the integrity, authenticity and trustworthiness of the records over their entire lifecycle. Utilize Enterprise Records Management System (ERMS) to audit, report, analyze and recommend solutions for network and local files providing alternate storage solutions.
Scanning Operations: Oversee scanning operations of vital documentation including GMP and Non-GMP documentation. Develop, document and implement processes and validation for the scanning of various document types. Oversee daily operations.
Internal Support Structure: Provide multi-functional support. Partner with site leadership defining goals and strategies for business planning purposes. Maintain up-to-date network of Departmental Records Coordinators, Authorizing Signatures and Subject Matter Experts. Develop, modify review and implement CRIM SOPs, guidance documents as well as work instructions.
Performance Management: Manage employees, contractors, vendors and project teams. Ascertain that all employees and contractors are thoroughly trained in appropriate compliance and CRIM policies, procedures and work instructions.
Litigation Response & Retention Program: Provide support as needed for ongoing litigation.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations, the Companies' policies, procedures and guidelines, this position will be responsible to ensure quality and compliance in all actions by attending GMP training on the schedule designated for this role and as appropriate for this role. This position must adhere to strict compliance with procedures applicable to this role; must exercise the highest level of integrity in all the tasks performed; in a timely and prompt manner, identify, report and seek correction for deviations noted in the workplace and will embrace a behavior of employee involvement and commitment to doing the job right the first time.
As a People Manager, this role must ensure employees under the scope of responsibility are trained in required procedures for the execution of their role and maintain current with training requirements during the year; must promote an environment of employee involvement in the workplace and must seek prompt identification, reporting and correction of deviations in the workplace as noted by employees.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. A MBA is preferred. A minimum of ten years of direct related Records & Information Management experience in the pharmaceutical industry or regulated environment is required. Extensive knowledge of Records & Information Management, Compliance (i.e., CFR 21, Part 11, HIPPA, SOX, Sedona Principles, GxP, etc) is required. Experience with auditing principles, concepts and practices is required. Knowledge of Electronic Records Management Software is required. A minimum of five years of people management experience is required.
The following are also required; Previous supervisory experience, leadership and organizational skills, communication skills, analytical and problem solving abilities. The ability to multi-task, be self motivated and team oriented. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of management staff. Working knowledge of PC technology and LAN environment (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Groupware, Internet, Databases, etc.)
Requires some handling of cartons of documents weighing up to 50 lbs. Certified Records Manager (CRM) is preferred.
