Collection Development Analyst, Baker and Taylor - NJ

Position:	Collection Development Analyst
Location:	Bridgewater, New Jersey
Description:	Produce standard and customized selection tool for various markets. Document customer’s profiling requirements for developing collection. Support internal and external customers on issues related to selection support tools. Support title selection for marketing publications. Maintain review source bibliography.  Responsible for update and distribution of the master list and customer version. Liaison between department and Information Systems for problem reporting, testing, and Focus issue resolution.  Assist other internal departments on selection tool requirements. Responsible for troubleshooting PC hardware, software applications, and Focus issues.
Requirements:	Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years experience or combination of equivalent education and experience. Extensive knowledge of PC/mainframe database applications and wordprocessing/desktop publishing.  Working knowledge of customer/library processes.  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively to customers or employees. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
