The candidate will work within Music Library and Music Licensing areas of ABC’s New York Music Department.
Music licensing tasks include working with the Executive Director throughout the clearance and licensing process. He/she will be responsible for all areas of music licensing: researching copyright ownership, negotiating publishing and master recording rights, reviewing licensing agreements, administering payments and tracking the process from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have established contacts within the music industry and excellent negotiation and people skills. He/she will be extremely detail oriented and also able to work under pressure. Many of our clients are part of the News division and deadlines are often very short, candidate must be able to work quickly and carefully and handle a high volume of clearances/licenses. Candidate must also be able to assist clients in finding suitable alternatives when songs are denied or licensing fees exceed the established music budget. He/she will work primarily with Good Morning America, News Magazines (20/20, Nightline, What Would You Do), other ABC News produced shows, The View, The Chew and Daytime as well as coordinate with the Rights and Clearances, Legal and Finance departments. He/she must have experience negotiating deals Music Library tasks include coverage of music library when Library Coordinator is out, fielding phone calls from and providing help to ABC production staff in recommending and providing music for their shows (based on creative and budgetary requirements), working closely with Fifth Floor Music, the ABC owned Music Production Library to coordinate shows’ music needs with what FFM is adding to their catalogue. This requires a broad knowledge of all genres of music and an ability to communicate effectively with staff of all levels. |

Looking for a candidate to primarily conduct literature searches in order to assist in preparing and submitting NDA Annual Reports of Marketed Products
• Perform comprehensive research and analysis of scientific and technical published literature to provide required insights in multiple subjects including research to support Medical Information Requests
• Conduct additional literature / medical searches utilizing wide variety of pharmaceutical databases, search engines, and other resources
•
An undergraduate degree from a respected institution with demonstrated
analytical expertise is required. An advanced degree, MLIS / MLS a plus
• Extremely proficient on OvidSP/Medline and Embase in order to perform clinical and nonclinical literature searches
• Experience with the most recent Medline and Embase databases
• Keen understanding of the drug regulatory process such as NDA/IND/Periodic Safety Update annual reporting process
• Familiar and comfortable with pharmaceutical industry and drug / chemical nomenclature
• Advanced bibliographic expertise in searching and managing information
• Three plus years of relevant industry or research experience, with pharmaceutical / medical experience a must
• Experience with technical services procedures using Windows-based computer systems, databases and electronic resources

Serves as frontline therapeutic
specialist responsible for engaging healthcare professional customers
in rich clinical dialogue and providing such customer support as
clinical presentations, literature searches and other therapeutic
activities as needed. Also engages in adverse event reporting, product
quality complaint reporting, and other processes as required. Completes
special assignments. Interacts with business partners external to the
MIC. Collaborates with Medical Information on the development/updating
of standard clinical replies. Supports Sales & Marketing with
medical booth coverage at professional meetings. Provides After Hours
phone support for emergency calls on a rotating basis.
Provides
timely, accurate, thorough and balanced responses to unsolicited
requests for information from internal and external customers consistent
with regulatory guidelines. Documents interactions in Department
database.
Identifies captures and processes adverse events and product quality complaints following Department procedures.
Conducts literature analysis to respond to unsolicited, off-label inquiries as needed.
Partners with Medical Information colleagues to create and update standard clinical replies.
Exchanges customer insights and scientific information with internal partners as appropriate.

Qualifications
A
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in the clinical or healthcare
field required. Bachelors of Pharmacy or a PharmD highly preferred. A
minimum of one year post-graduate experience in the healthcare,
pharmaceutical, pharmacy retail, hospital and/or managed care
environments is strongly preferred. Strong written, oral and
presentation skills required. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office
Suite) along with positive attitude toward embracing and using new
technologies are required. Ideal candidates will possess the ability to
build on existing clinical foundation in pursuit of expertise in
relevant therapeutic area. This position requires the ability to manage
complexity and possess the ability to work independently. Ideal
candidates will be results oriented, have excellent organizational
skills, have the ability to partner with cross-functional teams, and
have the ability to mentor new employees.
This position may require occasional overnight travel to attend Medical Conferences or company meetings.
