Under the general direction of the Director, this librarian will manage and oversee the DelMarVa collection, a diverse collection of local history and genealogy; both new and rare materials.
 
Requirements
An MLS from an ALA accredited school, plus two years public library experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong verbal and communication skills and demonstrate flexibility, initiative and creativity as well as a commitment to excellent customer service.  Must also demonstrate a willingness and ability to work a variety of hours, including evenings and weekends.
 
Responsibilities
Must provide leadership for physical and digital archival and special collections services including acquisitions, custodianship and preservation, description, reference, digital and physical access.  Must provide general reference services to library users using electronic and traditional resources.  Must provide leadership in applying existing and emerging technologies, i.e. library websites and Facebook.  Must have ability to work independently.  Must develop and implement strategies for sustainable collection development and growth and assist with other library functions as appropriate.
