Today's online version of U.S. News & World Report has a nice article on best careers for 2008. Librarian makes the cut - the short article has some nice things to say and provides links for information on schooling and professional associations, including SLA.

Thanks for posting this, Michelle. The article also includes a section on Overrated Careers. Medical Scientist is one of those, and the short article suggests Medical Librarian as an alternative career.
