Our first SLA-SD program meeting of the year is scheduled for February 18th. By popular demand (based on the recent survey results), we will begin the new year with the topic - "Research Tips and Techniques". We'd like to ask for your participation in this meeting. Send us your favorite publicly available research tool or technique, with a few words about it and why you think it's useful. The Programming Committee will accept the most relevant 6 to 10 submissions. If yours is accepted, you will be asked to present this at the February 18th meeting for 5-10 minutes and provide a one-slide/one page handout to accompany your presentation for the attendees.
Please send your "tip" to Kaitlyn Means ([email protected]). Deadline is Jan 25th. The Program Committee will build the program meeting agenda based on the submissions. If the same idea is submitted by multiple persons, the "first come, first serve" rule will be used to decide on the presenter. All submitters will be notified by February 1st as to whether they will be on the agenda.
