Role Description
Investigates and ensures implementation of solutions to better facilitate the customer groups’ access to data and information in the absence of existing systems, providing the holistic view required. Knowledgable about informatics tools to support Pfizer La Jolla’s drug discovery groups for Oncology and Vaccines Research. Reviews existing technology and applications for their potential to increase productivity for the customer groups through enhanced access to data and information. Utilizes standardized information tools such as STN, Dialog, IDDB, PubMed, to locate relevant information for customers. Proactively advises on how technology can be combined and/or adjusted in order to meet the customers need for rapid and accurate access to clinical, competitor, or scientific data or information. Works closely with local and global counterparts to understand new applications and technical solutions which may require working as a project team member through requirements gathering, design and post deployment phases.
All job holders will be required to align to more than one business line over time so that knowledge is shared and cross-functional business and technical skills are achieved in order to ensure continuity of service across the business lines.
